Home.md — Maya OS

Good morning, Maya

Fictional

Chapter 4 · The Island Atlas Year · 2025 – now

This week

Say no to one good thing so the great ones have room.

Today Tue 29 Sept

    Open Maya's life
    from 00 Home/Home.md · synced 07:02 · Fictional

One vault. Your choice of view.

The same notes can be an operating system, a magazine or a space to think. Switch whenever you like; the files never change. Start with Socratis, Ask, Desktop or Editorial. Choose which views appear in Settings, with agent organisation, automation planning and voice notes.

Maya's life in the Desktop world, light theme

Your life as an operating system. Notes sit on the desktop and open into living windows.

    Open this view live/app/?persona=maya&world=desktop&theme=light

    Your life, considered.

Meet Socratis: a Greek-inspired council of 19 agents, guided practices, life pillars and a living record. Explore Socratis and see how your agents and automation plans connect.

Explore Socratis → Just Ask →

Bring the notes you already have.

No migration and no decorating. Point Life OS at what you keep today, or start fresh in a few minutes.

    Nothing to take on faith.

Life OS is a lens over plain files. Any screen can show you the note it came from, and every claim says what kind of truth it is.

In his public productivity essay, Sam Altman describes sleep as especially important for productivity…

    Public Self-reported Derived Demo
    Plain Markdown, on your disk
Your life stays as ordinary .md files in folders you choose. Open them in Obsidian, any editor or GitHub; Life OS only reads them.
    Nothing uploads
The Mac app and the browser version both read your vault on your device. There's no Life OS account and no server holding your notes. If you connect Claude to Ask My Life, you confirm before anything is sent.
    Every claim shows its source
Open any card to see the note behind it. Demo lives mark each line Public, Self-reported, Derived or Demo, and a demo is never shown as fact.
    Read-only unless you say so
Life OS only saves changes after you switch saving on for that vault, and it keeps the previous version of every note first. The optional MCP server follows the same rule.

Encrypted cloud sync across phone and desktop is on the roadmap. It isn't in this preview, and nothing here pretends it is.

Your life, in its own window.

Life OS for Mac reads the vault you already keep, right where it lives. Local files, with optional AI connections you control.

The browser version has the same views, the same lives and the same Setup, with optional AI sharing only when you choose to use it.

    Version 0.3.4 · macOS 13 or later · Apple silicon 210 MB · Intel 216 MB

    Mac installer update in progress.

What the Mac app adds to the browser version:

    • Opens your vault straight from disk
    • Redraws the moment a note changes
    • Reopens your last vault on launch
    • Works offline, with the demo lives bundled
